9 New AEW Signings At Double Or Nothing Rally
Kenny Omega wasn't the only new name confirmed last night...
Kenny Omega will occupy countless headlines today, but he wasn't the only new All Elite Wrestling signing confirmed during last night's Double Or Nothing announcement party in Las Vegas.
Eight other names joined 'The Cleaner' in walking through the door, including Aja Kong: a pioneering joshi powerhouse, who starred for the legendary All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling during the promotion's '90s heyday, and deserves to be mentioned among the greatest monsters heels of all time.
Joining Kong in the women's division are Yuka Sakazaki (best known for her work in Tokyo Joshi Pro), rising star Kylie Rae (recently found starring for Chicago's AAW), and Nyla Rose another wrestler with experience in Japan.
Current AAA Cruiserweight Champion Sammy Guevara also made an appearance, confirming himself part of the active roster. Indie wrestler Sonny Kiss (who also competes as XO Lishus) has also arrived, along with the Best Friends of Chuckie T. and Beretta, who are fresh off a messy NJPW breakup, having pulled out of an agreement to sign with the 'King Of Sports' at the last minute.
There's still some way to go before AEW has a fully-formed roster, but last night's rally has taken the talent pool to the next level.
