9 Next Steps For Triple H

With all this talk of alliances being ended and betrayals being avenged, it’s easy to forget that in the midst of all this we could be seeing a new partnership forged; that of Triple H and the man he hand-picked to win the Universal Championship, Kevin Owens.

Again, this is all dependent on how Triple H chooses to explain his actions, but the literal handing of the title belt to Owens, the raising of his arm in victory, not to mention the fact that he Pedigreed the rest of the competition (not sure if I’d mentioned that yet) all seem to suggest that this was the start of something rather more permanent.

Obviously there’s always a chance that I’m reading too much into things again, but the added footnote of Triple H’s history with NXT—a brand that Owens has his own storied past with—is another factor that could be brought into this one to create a rather compelling storyline.

Just please, oh please, let’s not have this turn into the Authority 2.0.
