2. Shield Reunion At WrestleMania 33

Beyond that, we’re starting to approach WrestleMania season, and after a fairly disappointing outing last time around, Dean’s deserving of a major ‘Mania moment to add to his growing resume.

Now, I’m not sure how this one would work logistically, what with the Brand Split and all, but personally I think that some form of Shield reunion is the best way to go for Ambrose and the gang at next year’s extravaganza in Florida.

Previously I would have suggested the long-awaited Shield Triple Threat match instead, and for a while I was convinced that was the way they’d go. Obviously though, we saw that one go down at Battleground a few months back, so the novelty is no longer there really. Still, reforming arguably the most dominant faction of the modern ere - even if only for a one-off appearance - sounds like a pretty strong substitute in my book.

In terms of a worthy opponent, it's slim pickings on the roster right now, barring a New Day heel turn or some kind of reboot of the Club. That might mean that it’s time to bring in a new upstart faction, in a similar vein to the original Nexus or even The Shield themselves.

To be honest though, they could go up against anyone. I reckon I’d still be buzzing for any kind of Shield reunion, regardless of the opponent.
