7. It Will Last Longer Than 45 Seconds
Mickey Gall, in the build up to his UFC 203 fight against CM Punk, has claimed he'll finish Punk in just 45 seconds.
Here's another easy prediction: no, he won't.
Say what you want about Punk and his lack of experience, but training with a top team like Roufusport over the past year and a half, with fighters like Ben Askren, Anthony Pettis, and current UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley giving him tips, Punk should have more than enough to make it past the first 45 seconds unless he does something really, really foolish.
In fact, you can likely expect this fight to make it out of the first round, unless Punk forgets all his training and fizzles out in the opening sequence. If he has a chance to settle in, however, he should be able to defend himself well enough to make it to the five minute mark.
Past that, however? Then things get questionable.
