6. He's Popular

Roman Reigns is not a favorite among the most passionate WWE supporters. There are many reasons for that, but part of it is that he’s like a second version of John Cena: a good looking, pretty good, but not great in-ring worker, one who overcomes the odds virtually every time out.

While people who watch every week get tired of that, casual fans aren’t bothered by it as much, and kids especially aren't. Because he comes across like a real life superhero, which is cool to them.

When Roman goes to house shows, he comes across as a big star. I’ve seen him live in person multiple times, and the cheer-to-boo ration is far higher in his favor than what we see on TV.

Overall, he’s a popular guy. While the most vocal fans greet him with jeers, the average person either likes him, or doesn’t quite understand the hate he receives. He actually fits in quite well with other wrestlers who have topped PWI’s list in the past...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
