1. The Story Was Leading Us There
It's actually fairly impressive that WWE has managed to pick up the pieces left behind by the decimated roster and, after being forced to change directions several times, still manage to craft a logical, cohesive storyline between Reigns and Triple H. The role of Hunter's Mania opponent was originally earmarked for Reigns' former Shield partner Seth Rollins, but Roman has excelled as the rebellious bad*ss who won't sell out to Vince and company. Granted it comes off as a bit of Stone Cold tribute booking at times, but you can't argue with the fact that it's been effective. The response from the fans has been positive and much less mixed than before, so they need to keep heading down this path. In contrast to the Daniel Bryan/Authority angle, Triple H and Stephanie actually wanted Roman to be champion provided he was willing to do it on their terms, and when he refused their offer they were forced to go a different direction. Sheamus was just a minor annoyance of a roadblock for Reigns to barrel through on his collision course with the video game-style end boss of Hunter Hearst Helmsley. If we're lucky, the eventual vanquishing of his employer-turned-nemesis will lead to the unraveling of The Authority and WWE will move in an entirely new direction without the albatross of that exhausted story trope dragging them down. It's time for something different. Do you agree with the assessment that this match is the right main event for WrestleMania 32 or would you prefer to see something different?
