When fighters are motivated to do better, there are many ways this materialises. The flip side of this must-win predicament is that should he win, Conor is a lot closer to a title shot than we might think. The big boss man has said as much - Dana wants to book the rematch to the largest gated main event in UFC history because money.

To win that potential rematch we will need to see more ground proficiency from Conor. The BJJ brown belt is no waste-man on the ground, but neither is black belt Dustin Poirier and look how that turned out. But just imagine, Conor tapping Donald, or implementing a grounded elbow game the likes seen from Jon Jones, or executing a knee system inspired by Demetrious and Cejudo's first meeting. One thing that people forget when you're on top for so long - at least spiritually if not by rank - is a fighter's proclivity to get better.
