9 Things We Need To See At WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

5. Differentiate The NXT Girls

Speaking of those NXT girls, even more crucial than giving them any kind of potential match on the show is making sure they’re sufficiently differentiated from their counterparts over on Raw.

Just 24 hours before Riot, Morgan and Logan showed up on SmackDown, Raw had seen a little coup of its own, with a returning Paige welcoming Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to the fray. Paige, Rose and Deville then set about laying out half of the Raw women’s division—much like Riot and co. would do on SmackDown the following night.

Not that the similarities end there. Everything from their roles right down to their very appearances is pretty much identical, with both groups featuring a glamorous blonde, a brunette enforcer-type and an alternative, goth-chick leader.

Unfortunately for SmackDown, given that the show airs the day after Raw, that means there’s a risk that Riot, Morgan and Logan are just going to look like knock-offs of Paige, Rose and Deville.

Both at Clash of Champions and leading up to the show, something needs to be done to ensure these three new faces stand out from the crowd and don’t come over as carbon copies.
