9 Things We Need To See At WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

4. Showcase The Bludgeon Brothers

This past week on SmackDown, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper re-debuted under their new Bludgeon Brothers shtick.

On paper, it seemed goofy to say the least—two cloaked figures wielding giant gimmicky sledgehammers and talking exclusively in some kind of preachy, alliterative diction—but in reality, it was actually pretty good.

The new-look duo made short work of the Hype Bros, though they impressed in the brief time they were given, steamrollering their opponents and eventually winning with their new finish of a double crucifix powerbomb.

Sure, it made for a decent start, but it’ll count for nothing if they don’t build from here. As such, the company really needs to be showcasing these guys at the next PPV opportunity, not just because they’re a newly-rebranded team but because they’re one of the more underrated tandems on the entire SmackDown roster—with Harper especially being woefully underutilised.

It’s probably too early for a match with someone like the Usos or the New Day, so don’t be surprised to see Breezango fed to them at Clash of Champions.
