The Hardy Boyz were only ever going to be a temporary solution for the Raw Tag-Team Title scene. When Matt and Jeff emerged amidst fan delight at WrestleMania, they were destined to become champs. Now, those belts are right back where they belong, on a team that can drive the division forward rather than cast minds back to bygone eras.

Sheamus and Cesaro have blossomed as a unit since being shoved together last Summer. Shedding the initial awkwardness, the pair are now one of WWE's best duos, and they showed that at Extreme Rules with another strong performance. Now, they can crow about being 2-time Tag-Team Champions and offing The Hardyz.

That's vindication for a team who have worked hard to become more than just 2 individuals pushed into a union because creative had nothing else for them. After a heel turn that worked wonders at Payback, putting the titles back on Sheamus and Cesaro was the natural progression of that story.
