9 Things WWE Got Right At Extreme Rules 2017

4. Keeping The Cruiserweight Title On Neville

Surely Neville's rivalry with Austin Aries is over following Extreme Rules. These guys have had no less than 3 pay-per-view matches against one another in recent months, and the 'King Of The Cruiserweights' has only lost one of them. That disqualification loss at Payback parlayed into the Submission Match on Sunday night.

T.J Perkins and Rich Swann as Cruiserweight Champions are now a distant memory, because Neville has become WWE's best choice for the role. Most remarkable of all, his newfound power as a heel has re-energised the division and Neville is now poised to go onto bigger and better things with the purple belt. To do that, he had to beat Aries.

WWE need to follow up on Austin with another good foe for Neville though, otherwise his commanding domination of this one will have been for naught. For now, the company can reflect on a job well done at Extreme Rules. Neville deserves to be the champ.
