9 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Big Boss Man

8. The Nailz Feud

There was something about Big Boss Man's feud with Nailz that never quite felt right. Despite being one of the premiere babyfaces in all of WWE, Boss Man was portrayed as an abusive prison guard who took advantage of inmates and routinely beat them. Nailz, the heel, was seeking vengeance for the treatment he endured. Somehow, to someone, this seemed like the perfect direction to take the angle. Except, you know, Boss Man comes off like a complete d*** in that scenario. See, as evil and sadistic as Nailz came across, the Boss Man character never really jumped at the opportunity to declare absolute innocence. Sure, he may have mentioned once or twice that he was not guilty of the accusations or that Nailz was a liar, but no overly sympathetic commentating on the part of Gorilla Monsoon or Vince McMahon could completely erase the claims of Nailz from the minds of fans. Especially those familiar with the prison system. Of course, Boss Man won the feud and Nailz's stint in the company was, thankfully, short-lived. Still, a backwards story and painfully awful matches combine to make a dark spot on the new Hall of Famer's resume.
