9 Things You Didn't Know About WWE No Way Out

4. Big Show Was Genuinely P***ed Off With Floyd Mayweather In 2008

You know that old saying 'don't p*** of a giant?'. Yeah, well apparently Floyd 'Money' Mayweather hasn't heard it before, because he did absolutely nothing to keep Paul Wight calm when the two enacted their blockbuster angle at No Way Out in 2008. Big Show was making his return to the company, after having taken a year off to rest his knackered body (and start a boxing career that went nowhere). The new, slimmed-down Show came out to a big babyface reaction so, naturally, he went after Rey Mysterio, who had just been beaten by Edge in their World Heavyweight Title match. Show was about to chokeslam the Biggest Little Man in WWE, when Rey's pal Mayweather - and his crew of about one hundred and eighty three people - hopped the barricade and confronted the giant. Show went to a knee, allowing Floyd to rock him with several fast jabs, legitimately breaking Show's nose. Rough first night back or what? Mayweather beat a hasty retreat, with Show running after him intent on revenge. It was only due to the intervention of WWE officials, including Shane McMahon, that the 7ft tall man didn't obliterate his much smaller foe. Big Show confided in a WWE Network original special which focused on the rivalry that had he gotten his hands on Mayweather that night there simply wouldn't have been a WrestleMania match or any promotion for it. Triple H said in that same special that it was the maddest he'd ever seen Show, which is quite something considering how frequently he loses his rag.
