3. Weather Incident Cost Test Match With Jericho In 2003

WWE had big plans for Test in 2003. Now a babyface after leaving the Unamericans, he was a lean, mean machine, with real-life girlfriend Stacy Keibler by his side and an improved look of short trunks and short hair (WWE had wanted him to trim his long locks for an age). At the 2003 Royal Rumble PPV and in the weeks afterwards, Test began a short feud with fellow Canadian Chris Jericho. Their programme was due to culminate in a match at No Way Out when Test landed himself in the doghouse and was taken off the card. The reason for the sudden heat? Test and Stacy missed the pre-PPV Raw taping due to a snowstorm. WWE supposedly warned the lovebirds about making alternate travel arrangements, a warning that evidently was not heeded. But their flights were cancelled and the roads were off-limits so there was nothing they could do. WWE were furious, and removed Test from the card as punishment, replacing him with (a clearly tired) Jeff Hardy.
