Hunt faces a tough road in suing the UFC due to their contract language. It won't necessarily protect Brock Lesnar, and the legality of it may be brought up before the judge, but at the end of the day, UFC contracts do feature an indemnification clause absolving the UFC, and likely President Dana White, from liability in certain situations.

Mixed martial arts contracts are notoriously one-sided, which is why fighters have struggled over the years for fair pay, health coverage, and the like. Fighters are considered independent contractors, not employees, which is part of the problem. The UFC's indemnification clause may protect them here, which is why Lesnar may be the real target of this lawsuit.

Simply put, he's not covered by it, has deep pockets, and as mentioned, he may be loathe to spend a lot of time in a court room setting. Especially when he has his WWE career to focus on. Doubly so given that, were this lawsuit to make it to trial, it could turn into a distraction, or even hurt him in the pro wrestling world, given what a hot button topic drugs are there as well.
