Before he looked at the lights for Batista at SummerSlam, Cena was also laying down for Batista's former Evolution teammate, Triple H, in 2008. The Game, Cena and Randy Orton had been clashing for most of the year, dating back to the Royal Rumble in January. Cena won the Rumble but failed to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Triple H did managed to beat Orton the next month at Backlash, setting up Cena versus The Game at Night of Champions. The two men had a solid twenty minute match, which was made better due to the fact that the result really was in doubt. Solidifying his status as a choker in the big matches, Cena fell to the almighty Triple H's pedigree and stayed down for the 1-2-3.
