9 Times The Past Came Back To Haunt WWE Superstars

2. Kenny! Mikey! Dolph?

The most recent addition to this list saw Dolph Ziggler's miserable past as a former tag team champion cheerleader return to embarrass him once more. Well, they tried to embarrass him, but Dolph Ziggler is a totally different beast to Nicky!, and thus the remaining members of the Spirit Squad received only Superkicks for their troubles.

This was all in the lead up to Dolph Ziggler challenging The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship with his career on the line, a match that Dolph would subsequently win, thus ending The Miz's worldwide Intercontinental Championship tour. The match itself was their best, and both men have been true star player since the brand split consigned them to SmackDown Live.

Kenny and Mikey are still hanging around too, and even challenged Heath Slater & Rhyno for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships. Whilst Mikey had somewhat lost a step, Kenny seems as athletic as ever, adding weight to the sadness of those who saw him as a future world champion.

Unfortunately, there has been no sign of Kerwin White in all of this.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
