9 Times The Undertaker Helped Make WWE Superstars (And The One That Got Away)
1. Bray Wyatt (The One That Got Away)
The one that should have been. By the time The New Face Of Fear met The Old Face Of Goth Makeup at WrestleMania 31, the streak had already been broken. Both men made their entrance in daylight, which was weird, and Bray was carrying an ankle injury into The Show Of Shows, which didn't help.
Even after that setback, Wyatt wasn't done with The Deadman. At Hell In A Cell 2015, The Wyatt Family (Rest In Peace, Jon Huber), beat down 'Taker and carried him to the back, doing the same thing to Kane the very next night on Raw. This led to... The Brothers Of Destruction returning to defeat Wyatt and Harper at Survivor Series because this was 'Taker's 25th anniversary with the company.
And even after that setback, all it would have taken was one moment between 'Taker and The Fiend, similar to the Cena and Reigns exchanges, to slot Bray into the colossal gap left by The Phenom's retirement. All the pieces were there for a properly impactful passing of the torch, but the timing never quite lined up for WWE to pull the trigger and give Wyatt that crown.
