9 Times The Undertaker Helped Make WWE Superstars (And The One That Got Away)

8. Randy Orton

Speaking of Randall Keith, we're going back one more year, to 2005. Orton was in the prime of his cocky 'Legend Killer' run, and his nine-month feud with 'Taker began, like Evolution-mate Batista, at WrestleMania. As I'm sure you're aware, Orton put in one of the best performances in the lineage of the streak, with fans almost convinced he was going to be the blemish on that great record.

Orton's brushes with Mr Spookycorpse went beyond their in-ring encounters. We have the iconic moment of Orton lighting a casket on fire with 'Taker inside; then there was the meme-worthy return of The Deadman at Survivor Series 2005, bursting from a flaming casket as Orton looked on aghast.

Undertaker certainly went above and beyond to make the future Viper look like the born legend his pedigree dictated. Along with the fantastic 'Mania match, Orton got his win over 'Taker at SummerSlam, and the two had a ridiculous half-hour Hell In A Cell bout where Randy and his father 'Cowboy' Bob Orton failed to overcome the almighty Phenom in an infamously bloody contest.
