9 Times The Undertaker Helped Make WWE Superstars (And The One That Got Away)

9. Mr Kennedy

As 'Taker came out of WrestleMania 23 the new World Heavyweight Champion, a potential future challenger announced himself in the form of Money In The Bank winner, Mr Kennedy. One year prior, however, Kennedy and Undertaker had been embroiled in a star-making mini-feud that served to boost the newcomer up the card - and into that Money In The Bank match.

While it would be scarcely believable to have the rookie go over 'Taker, Kennedy racked up two consecutive wins on pay-per-view over the legend, by sketchy means, but it gave the upstart some immediate, big-time heat. Kennedy's feud - and victories - over Undertaker gave him a real feeling of legitimacy, as he was coming into the company on the back of that legendary OVW class making waves in the early 2000s.

Who knows what more these two could have given us if he hadn't been booked to drop the briefcase to Edge. Due to a combination of injury, Kennedy's perceived attitude, and a meeting with Randy Orton at the peak of his prickish powers, Kennedy never realised that immense potential, but The Phenom gave him one hell of a boost.
