Lashley wasn't the first man to hold multiple titles in TNA -- we'll get to him later -- but he was the first in a long time to hold three different titles simultaneously.

He was already World Champion when he captured the X-Division title from Eddie Edwards in a winner-take-all Six Sides of Steel cage match, and a few weeks later, he defeated James Storm in a title vs. title match for the King of the Mountain Championship.

But instead of treating each of the belts as worthy prizes, Lashley kept a laser focus on the World Title. The KOTM championship was unified with the World Title and deactivated, and the X-Division belt was not only vacated, but treated as secondary and unimportant.

Holding all three belts was impressive, but disrespecting two of them made for a dismal multiple championship reign.
