9 Times WWE Disrespected The Cruiserweights

5. The Mexicools

Where do you even start with The Mexicools? When WWE announced that they were bringing in former WCW standouts Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis, along with the super talented Super Crazy, fans were optimistic. They took it as a sign that WWE were about to seriously push the cruiserweight division, getting it back to something like its mid-90s WCW glory days. How foolish we all were. Instead of letting the three men go out and tear it up with the other wrestlers under 220lbs, WWE creative saddled them with a blatantly racist gimmick and neutered their offense. The Mexicools turned out to be a big joke, riding out on lawnmowers (the 'Mexican limo') and spouting off lame catchphrases ('we're not Mexican, we're Mexicool!'). The group would slowly part ways, before disbanding for good in January 2006. A lot of that was down to Juventud's attitude/ego problems (in short, 'The Juice' thought he was a superstar on the level of The Rock or Steve Austin and visibly became upset when asked to look at the lights), but WWE could have done a lot more with the group (and the cruiserweight division as a whole).
