It's a risky business to have pro wrestlers tell another they're literally going to "kill" them. That's ultra-violent chatter, and it's hardly going to happen anyway. No, WWE will not book actual murder on their programming regardless of certification. The only thing they've killed in recent years has been pain. Pain from watching latter day Vince McMahon book the place into oblivion.

On SmackDown, Drew McIntyre opened the night by attacking Damian Priest when he spotted him walking through the corridors. This put a neat spin on the usual, 'Wrestler A is arriving at the building' scene WWE uses a ton of, and it made sense after what happened between both guys at Elimination Chamber. Later, Priest returned to get his revenge and give McIntyre a deserved receipt.

He sprinted in following Drew's win over Jimmy Uso. The match was nothing to write home about. It wasn't rubbish, but it felt like a bit of an afterthought compared to most other bouts on the show. Not to worry, 'cause it was Priest attacking McIntyre then yelling the following that grabbed attention: "You should've killed me, you scumbag. I'll kill you!".

Yikes.

Being frank, these dudes know they need to up the ante and get aggressive if they want anyone to care about their WrestleMania 41 encounter. It's a little 'creative has nothing else for you', but workers as skilled as Drew and Priest can still make it work. Leaning on the latter's 'Street King' sensibilities and the former's frustration is the right path towards relevance in Vegas.
