Last night's Dynamite was like the surface of the sun. While other weeks have had better wrestling and several of these matches had warts, none of it mattered, because everything was over. Cincinnati was ablaze not only for hometown hero Jon Moxley, who wrestled Minoru Suzuki in the main event, but everyone from Bryan Danielson to Dante Martin. These were earned reactions on the back of a great few weeks for AEW and proof that if you serve your audience, they'll give you the right response.
Danielson, Adam Cole, CM Punk, Ruby Soho: each of AEW's latest editions was on the card last night. Malakai Black continued his feud with the Nightmare Family in the opener, facing Dustin Rhodes. Elsewhere,MJF waged war on the Pillman family in one of the year's hottest segments, Powerhouse Hobbs met Dante Martin, and the Dark Order's family feud continued.
This show was great.
