9 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Sep 16)

Everything about this ruled. Everything. As a setup for a six-man tag your writer didn't even know he wanted until Jon Moxley started barking down the microphone, this was perfect.

Lance Archer hit the ring with Jake Roberts, destroying some poor goober from the peanut gallery before Jake cut a promo, saying 'The Murderhawk Monster' needed partners for the six-man. "If I'm gonna lay in bed with the devil, I'd rather do it with the Tasmanian devil," he said, and out came Taz, throwing Ricky Starks and Brian Cage into the mix. A tremendous Lance promo followed, proving that he doesn't necessarily need the legendary Roberts as his mouthpiece.

Moxley was jumped by Cage and Starks while trying to enter halfway up Daily's Place. His saviour? A chair-swinging Will Hobbs, whose inclusion here makes a great deal of sense given his interactions with Cage and Archer in the Casino Battle Royale, proving those spots weren't for nothing.

Moxley put Hobbs over huge on the microphone. His promo was brief, but furious and pulsing with energy, as the AEW World Champion almost roared you into knowing that Hobbs absolutely belongs on this stage. Oh, and they'll be joined by Darby Allin too. Ridiculous.

This is how you got somebody over quickly and without screwing around. Hobbs is a big, big deal now, and this segment was the kind of thing that makes your arm hair stand up.
