9 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Sep 16)

3. Undisputed, Undefeated, Uncrowned

MJF AEW
AEW

From start to finish, MJF was gold last night.

His evening began with the quick destruction of Dark regular Shawn Dean. An eye poke into the Salt of the Earth submission was all it took for MJF to put him away within seconds, keeping the armbar locked in long after the bell, dealing further damage while Wardlow fetched a microphone. A perfect squash.

As for the promo? You already know.

Like many of the best heels in wrestling history, MJF was dead right in pointing out that Jon Moxley cheated at All Out, but so obnoxious in making his point that it's impossible to feel sorry for him. From now on, he is to be referred to as "MJF, the undefeated, undisputed, and uncrowned World Champion of All Elite Wrestling," and the felled challenger bullied Justin Roberts into reciting this, forcing a repeat when the announcer didn't give it enough gusto.

From there, a stable tease, with MJF stating it was clear that in order to get ahead in AEW, you have to be part of a faction. He is using the Moxley defeat as a platform to build something new - and that's exciting, whatever comes of this.
