9 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming (14 Dec - Review)

7. "SCISSOR THAT SLAPNUTS!"

Jeff Jarrett
AEW

Your writer is a big fan of Jeff Jarrett, but at no point opined that 'The King Of The Mountain' to work any matches beyond the killer party match against Sting and Darby Allin at Full Gear.

Your writer has great taste but wrong opinions, because Jarrett and partner Jay Lethal beating down The Acclaimed absolutely ruled and the Texas fans were fuming the whole time.

The Tag Team Champions clearly aren't losing to the former TNA stars, but that won't matter based on the heat this tremendously entertaining assault drew. Jarrett wrapping the acoustic equaliser around Max Caster's head was a nice way to try and shut the loudmouth up, and he may well take a microphone to the head when the titleholders inevitably retain.

Not all defences for Caster and Anthony Bowens can carry the weight of their wins over Swerve In Our Glory, but not all of them have to, and wins such as this incoming one will help the prestige long after they've been dethroned.
