9 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (23 Sep)

8. Never Powerbomb A Man's Wife

Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan staying as a cohesive unit - at least for now - is the right call. It creates a different path for them to take after their years, including this one, of feuding. It would have been easier to go the other way, so props to IMPACT here.

Their confrontations of both Moose and W. Morrissey last night, both of whom made comments regarding Morrissey's Powerbomb to Alisha at Victory Road, went down well, though arguably would have worked a tad better in front of the live audience rather than backstage. They laid into Moose with a kendo stick and baseball bat, while Scott D'Amore intervened before they could lay their hands on the former Big Cass, scheduling a street fight for next Thursday between Eddie and Morrissey.

The segments provided a sharp spike of intensity during the middle of the show that was needed. It was different from the actual wrestling going on, providing a nice balance between impeccable in-ring action and enjoyable segments.
