This Good Brothers vignette was one of IMPACT's greatest all year, both in terms of the content within and the production style.
The reigning World Tag Team Champions gloated about needing this time off due to their excessive workload as of late. They've defended those titles against everyone provided by both IMPACT and AEW management, whether it's Violent By Design, Decay, or the Dark Order. Their recipe of a Magic Killer followed by a one, two, three has worked endlessly for them.
Your writer traditionally detests that statement, but it worked for the purpose of the vignette. That it was then followed by a short video package of them executing the manoeuvre on a number of IMPACT's finest helped, too. They've put former World Champions like Sami Callihan down with the move. It works.
This now feels as if they're being penned for a prolific title defence at Bound For Glory, which is particularly thought-provoking when you take into account the involvement of AEW, New Japan, and AAA. A Guerrillas of Destiny showdown is the big match, and given their confrontation at New Japan's Resurgence event last August, it may be the end destination for the Good Brothers.
