The Jake Roberts cold open has become a regular fixture on Dynamite and this was one of the best, with the legendary talker turning his crosshairs on Colt Cabana.

Roberts said the TNT Championship was made for him and Lance Archer, saying the network would love to have the big man up front. When Lance walks into a place, everybody takes notice, everybody bows down and Archer is going to enjoy this, because every time he wins, he moves closer to what he really wants.

In classic heel form, Jake put Cabana over before tearing him down again. He said that his charge had been pushed out of the country and forced to make a living. Lance was p*ssed, and he's something nobody else in AEW is: an animal.

"Listen to me or regret it," was Jake's sign-off. "It's your choice."

Threats like this hang heavy when they come from one of the best promo guys in wrestling history, which Jake most certainly is. He's doing as much for Lance's act as the big man's work between the ropes.
