9 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Apr 15)

3. Colt Gets Real

Colt Cabana
AEW

Colt Cabana is a three-dimensional professional wrestler. Yes, he delves into comedic territory often, but dismissing him as a jokester does the man a huge discredit. He's extremely capable of working more serious tones when required, as he did on Dynamite, and is a wrestler with great grappling pedigree and an education in multiple styles, from traditional British wrestling to lucha libre.

TLDR: Cabana f*cking rules, and so did his pre-match promo.

This was Colt commanding respect. He said he expected to come in with an undefeated record because he knows what he's capable of, though expectations were lower on him than Lance Archer. Lance, he pointed out, was dominant in Japan, but Cabana had been all around the world for the past 15 years. His track record was just as good but such is the beauty of the story - coming from beneath.

One step at a time, Cabana's was looking only at Archer and the goal of becoming TNT Champion and if you didn't believe in him before, he likely had you hooked by the end of this.
