9 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Apr 15)

6. Real Sport Feel

Props to AEW for the series of video packages that saw a bunch of different figures from the worlds of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts weighing in on Jake Hager vs. Jon Moxley, with the likes of Ariel Helwani, John McCarthy, and Mike Goldberg chiming in from the other sport, throwing support being 'The Big Hurt.'

These added a lot to a fight that ultimately disappointed. The best section came from Taz, who channelled Gary Neville with a video breakdown of some of Hager's most effective holds and techniques, talking about angles, pressure points, and everything in between. It was as if he was a panellist on a UFC Show - and it worked.

This is the oft-derided "real sport feel" in full effect. AEW doesn't hit this mark consistently, but when they do, it's a win.
