9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 6)

3. Master Of Disguise

2020 hasn't been the best of years for Rich Swann. An injury suffered two days before a huge championship challenge at Hard To Kill left him sidelined until the summer, where he was sent into early retirement, but then, things were starting to look up for the former X Division Champion.

Executive vice president Scott D'Amore granted him a World Championship opportunity against Eric Young at Bound For Glory, so long as he was medically cleared to do so. Until the medical guidance of Dr Forman, Rich's ankle seemed ready to go for the biggest match of his career.

That was, of course, until the reigning World Champion, disguised as a nurse in Forman's facility, once again destroyed Swann's leg. With just seventeen days to go until the big match, Rich Swann finds himself back to square one.

The way Young can adapt himself to any sort of environment is astonishing. He'll find anything he can use to cause the most damage to an adversary, as evidenced by him tying Rich's leg to a bench, and smashing it with a kettlebell. 'The World Class Maniac' is more than just a fancy moniker. Each Eric Young appearance since Slammiversary has proved just that.
