9 Ups & 3 Downs From ROH Final Battle 2022

6. Perfectly Fine Six-Man Match

ROH Final Battle 2022 Dalton Castle The Boys The Embassy
ROH

The Embassy going up against Dalton Castle and the Boys was absolutely fine for what it needed to be. So, by default it gets a mild Up.

Getting the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles onto the more featured act of Brian Cage, Kaun and Toa Liona was the sensible move, and the match itself was solid if not spectacular. Also, getting those titles off the Party Peacock and the Boys can hopefully free Castle up to become a featured singles act.

He may have only been utilised sporadically on TV since Tony Khan purchased Ring of Honor, but Dalton Castle is an utter star whose ceiling is extremely high. For anyone who has seen the 36-year-old's previous ROH work, you'll be well aware of what a captivating presence Castle is.

A former ROH World Champion, Dalton deserves the opportunity to cement himself as a major star in a major promotion. Whether that's in a prominent role in Tony Khan's ROH or as a featured player in AEW, the New Yorker is one of the most fun and entertaining talents on the planet - and getting the ROH Six-Man Titles off Castle and his Boys should hopefully facilitate a more prominent spotlight for Dalton.

Also, as a sidenote, the Gates of Agony looked like absolute monsters in this outing.
