Alisha Edwards isn't an effective promo-cutter.
This was apparent last night. After ambushing Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren with a kendo stick, she was then carried backstage by security, screaming into the camera rather than properly cutting a promo. Her reasoning was because she wanted revenge for Su Yung's goons kidnapping Swingerella #3 a few weeks back because, y'know, that's more important than Moose and W. Morrissey attempting to literally murder her husband.
She relied on all the classic phrases a wrestler would use in their first few months ("Yeah, that's right", "So you see", et al) without making correct use of her emotions. When Gail Kim informed her of Saturday's Monster's Wall vs. Kimber Lee, Savannah Evans, and Jordynne Grace, she asked if she could bring Kendra the kendo stick with her like a pupil shyly asking their teacher if they could go to the bathroom.
She switched from entirely fired up to not really caring within a few seconds. None of this clicked. There's little reason for IMPACT fans to be invested in her as a performer; we need to move on from these days.
