9 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling & NJPW Multiverse United (Review)

8. The Setting

Veteran viewers of WWE Premium Live Events will be cognisant of their identical aesthetics. IMPACT is susceptible to the same warranted scrutiny, using the same stage for weekly programming and pay-per-views. It's unquestionably the most painless solution if they're looking to cut costs, but shouldn't Bound For Glory - their WrestleMania equivalent - look distinctly unique, in contrast to a humdrum Before The IMPACT taping?

A simpler set-up was used for Multiverse United, using a simple curtain rather than the elaborate multi-screen set they're accustomed to, owing to the Globe Theater's layout. It looked simple, clean, and although it's far more probable this was a one-off due to the geography of the venue, it's hopefully a step forward for IMPACT, at the very least, having unique sets for their quarterly pay-per-views.
