9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 22)

2. The End

Please, for the love of God, can the Sami Callihan vs. Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes story be over now?

'The Draw' and 'The Whole F'N Show' faced off this week, the stipulation being that Forbes would 'earn' five minutes alone in the ring with Callihan should RVD come out victorious. Weird riders aside, the match as a whole was largely forgettable. Van Dam stumbled at ringside on a Rolling Thunder attempt, while Forbes' two main points of interference - a hip attack and spraying hairspray in Sami's eyes - both appeared to be seen out of the corner of referee Brandon Tolle's eyes.

After RVD's victory, both he and Forbes went to town on the former World Champion, only for Callihan to knock Van Dam to ringside with a steel chair, and spike Forbes with a Cactus Special piledriver. Cool. Is that it? Is that all he wanted to achieve from targeting these two?

Had the match been enjoyable, then this would have been an Up as the aftermath was a fitting end to this story (providing it is the end, of course). Considering all Sami has done in his Impact career thus far, this was a huge step back for the former oVe leader.
