... it was Rowan's dad all along!

After dragging a hood-cloaked, black-clad man through the building and into a locker-room earlier in the evening, Daniel Bryan and Rowan finally pulled his veil back when Roman Reigns showed up at the end of the night. Turns it out was a Rowan doppelganger. Or a dollar store Kerry King. Or actual Steve Von Till. Take your pick; whichever you go for, it was super lame.

SmackDown closed with all four men sitting/standing around gawking at each other like idiots. Having partaken in one of the wettest reveals in recent WWE history, they had nothing, absolutely nothing, which almost feels grimly appropriate for the situation.

If there's a positive to be taken from this, it's that WWE didn't pull another bait-and-switch by not running with the reveal. Still, this was a flat way to end the show and a momentum hit for an otherwise interesting storyline. Perhaps it'll evolve into something stronger later down the line, but for now, this thing is almost funny-bad.
