4. Women’s Roster Gets Preview Of Overhaul

The women’s division has been in need of a spark (and better creative) for some time now. The different permutations of wrestlers are limited, so getting some fresh faces on the roster is imperative.

Fortunately, the Raw after WrestleMania is a perfect platform for those introductions.

Iyo Sky came out to celebrate her Women’s World Championship defense at 'Mania when she was interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who respectfully challenged her to a match. The two had a solid exhibition-style bout that gave fans a glimpse of what could be on the horizon, before Roxanne Perez ruined it by attacking Iyo. Seconds later, Giulia took out Vaquer.

Rhea Ripley would run down for the save, which included a staredown with Giulia that gave fans another mental image of a dream match. Just like that, WWE all but told fans that two women (Perez and Giulia) were coming to the main roster imminently (and if they’re not, something’s wrong with this company), with Vaquer likely not far behind.

Great little preview match, and a nice introduction of a couple of fresh faces to rejuvenate the roster. Now, if only WWE could figure out how to book the women’s division…
