Violent By Design and Decay’s tag titles clash was on the cusp of being something special. It was still fine, however, it was missing that spark to make it properly stand out.
The main point here was Eric Young pondering if Deaner was ready to be put in a championship match, hence why the former World Champion gave him a pep talk at ringside after he had been dominated by Crazzy Steve. From there, a decent match ensued, highlighted by Black Taurus being a captivating high-flyer. A stiff clothesline from Rhino hindered him for only a few minutes before the AAA star took flight again. Here’s hoping he’s alright, though; he took a nasty bump on his knee at ringside.
Steve flourished towards the match’s end, downing Deaner with a gorgeous tornado Pedigree, later making use of a cannonball senton. Being tripped on the ropes and appearing to hit his head on the ring post spelled the end for the Decay man, though, with Deaner ending the match via snap DDT.
This was solid. The heel victory was inescapable, but Steve and Taurus were still conveyed as possible champions here. Overall, a good bit of business.
