9 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Against All Odds 2021

7. Heels Vs. Heels Done Right

There’s a certain way to pull off a babyface vs. hell match, and by God, was this it. While nothing truly spectacular, Kimber Lee and Susan’s challenge of Fire N Flava’s Knockouts Tag Team Championships was a belter from a comedic aspect.

Tasha Steelz getting on Kiera Hogan’s back to poke Susan’s eye while referee Brandon Tolle was distracted, and then Kiera poking Kimber’s eye while she was on Susan’s back was good, genuinely funny (in a wrestling sense) stuff. The same applies to Kimber Lee pretending to injure her leg, watch on as Susan took advantage for them, and then mockingly proclaim that she was fine. It’s piss patter, of course it is; it works, though.

An assisted standing Sliced Bread could have easily been the winning manoeuvre for Fire N Flava – they need a proper tandem finisher – but Tasha’s Frog Splash to Susan worked nonetheless. The knockouts tag division needed something like this to get it back on track. While not a match of the year caliber bout, the quartet still put out an adequate banger here.
