Who would’ve thought that just having a wrestler beat up others and win matches would make him into a credible challenger?

But Bobby Lashley has progressed from afterthought to acceptable world title challenger-of-the-month. And having a manager/partner like MVP who can talk for him and take the occasional beating helps matters nicely. We saw this Monday with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre destroying MVP, but immediately getting jumped by Lashley, who locked in the full nelson as Raw went off the air.

It was the latest confrontation between the two sides, and it worked pretty well. Not many are buying Lashley as taking the title off McIntyre, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a simple storyline like this one.
