Well, you knew they couldn’t have Charlotte Flair or Asuka take a pinfall or submission loss during their champion-versus-champion match Monday night.

But aside from that, the two women had a banger of a match going for a while, with Charlotte targeting Asuka’s knee while the Raw Women’s Champion kept throwing submission holds on Flair like it was going out of style. She countered a Natural Selection with an armbar and transitioned to a triangle. When Charlotte maneuvered into a Boston Crab, Asuka was able to grab a kneebar.

Yes, the match ended with a countout when Nia Jax came out to distract Asuka, but at least it was less offensive than a distract/rollup finish. And someday, Asuka is going to have to best Charlotte in the ring.
