9 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 3rd)
3. Sheer Willpower
If it wasn’t for the fact that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are tremendous talents and make their rivalry so believable, this feud could be falling on its face right now.
Dean Ambrose stalked to the ring flanked by gas mask-wearing SWAT team members, cutting a promo about how Rollins is needy and emotional, just like all the fans. Rollins is scum but wants to be a role model. He and Roman Reigns sold out, but Ambrose is the unchanged man with integrity, the moral compass of WWE.
It was a very weird promo that feels like it should be leading somewhere or have some revelation, but none has come yet. Rollins attacked, and he and Ambrose brawled into the crowd, and then back to the ringside area, where Dean got the upper hand and dropped Seth with two Dirty Deeds DDTs.
Let’s just say that this is getting a pass for stalling with another beatdown, but thankfully it’s between two really solid wrestlers who had the fans eating out of the palm of their hands.
