Follow-through hasn’t been a strong point in recent WWE history, so when you see it, you should acknowledge it.

To that point, Cedric Alexander has gotten a decent little push since revealing himself as the janitor in disguise several weeks back. He’s stood toe-to-toe with Drew McIntyre and looked strong even in defeat last week. Monday night, he faced Sami Zayn in the first round of the King of the Ring.

The match itself wasn’t anything special, but Cedric earned the win and moved on to the quarterfinals, which was notable. No one is predicting that Alexander is going to win the whole thing (but who knows?), but getting a win to advance is nice to see after his loss last week.

Maybe WWE actually intends to let Cedric shine a little on the main roster.
