9 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 7th)

Did anyone else feel just a little sad for Dolph Ziggler when he started talking to Stephanie McMahon about the Authority and brought up Survivor Series 2014? He looked like the guy in his 30s reliving his high school glory days.

Survivor Series 2014 was a huge night for Dolph, as he proceeded to eliminate three of the five members of Team Authority and get Triple H and Stephanie fired forever €“ with €œforever€ turning out to mean €œfive weeks.€ And that right there is a great reason why even bringing this up was a mistake. For any casual fan who forgot or wasn€™t watching a year ago, WWE just basically pointed fans to an example of the same kind of match stipulation being abandoned barely a month later. Way to go.

Sure, there was a greater purpose to the segment: Reminding Stephanie and the audience that the Authority has been taken out of power before and that it€™s possible it could happen. But good God. And making Dolph €“ who just spent last week trading wins in minute-long matches with the Miz €“ sound like he was reflecting on better days didn€™t help matters.
