9 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2021

6. Xavier: From Beating Champ To Water Guns

Remember several weeks ago when Xavier Woods pinned WWE Champion Bobby Lashley clean in the middle of the ring on Raw? Neither does WWE.

Woods pinned Lashley last month in the lead-up to Kofi Kingston’s challenge at Money in the Bank. Since then, they’ve done nothing with that. And Saturday, Xavier was involved in a comedy segment involving the “Drip Stick 2000” with Miz & John Morrison, spraying them with water.

Lashley has lost exactly three televised singles matches this year, to Riddle, Kofi and Xavier. He’s avenged the first two, but not Woods. Why isn’t WWE doing something with this? Even a two-week program would have been fun, and it could have given Woods something interesting to do and showcase his immense talent, rather than getting in a water fight with Miz & Morrison.

At least Xavier’s Scott Hall gear was spot-on, and his survey was on-point.
