9 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2021

3. A Bathroom Break Match In Every Sense

It’s one thing to call the Eva Marie/Alexa Bliss match a “bathroom break” match, but it would be best if we could just flush everything about this mini-feud and just move on with our lives.

The ring action itself was nothing special, with Eva being pretty limited. Instead, they focused on the doll, Lilly. Eva Marie grabbed the doll paint-brushed it and then slapped Bliss with it. This set Alexa off, who went on to topple Eva with a DDT. Hopefully, THE END.

But to add a bit more of storyline that no one gets or understands, Doudrop mocked Eva Marie on the mic, put on her robe, and strutted off, seemingly breaking off her alliance with the model. Of course, there’s always the chance the two could be back together Monday on Raw given this company’s mindset. But why were they even together in the first place? Don’t forget they started breaking up just a couple weeks after debuting.

If this leads to Doudrop reclaiming the fire that Piper Niven had in NXT UK and we de-emphasize Lilly, then this was great. But it’s doubtful.
