9 WWE SmackDown Angles That Should Follow Money In The Bank 2017

2. Turn Ellsworth Into The Biggest Heel In The Women's Division

James Ellsworth is a comedy character and always will be. He's never going to be a main eventer in anything other than an ironic fashion and quite frankly it's surprising he's managed to stretch out this run as long as he has.

He's garnered a reputation backstage as someone who works hard to improve his craft and goes out of his way for advice on how to perform better, so his staying power can partially be chalked up to that level of dedication.

Following the events of Money in the Bank, Ellsworth is now the biggest heel in the entire SmackDown women's division, and it may be legitimate. We've already seen the backlash from women on both brands, taking to social media to voice their displeasure over the fact that the first women's MitB ladder match was technically "won" by a male.

To his credit Ellsworth took to Twitter and fired back shots of his own, but if WWE is going to go down this path they need to floorboard it and go all the way. With feminism being a current hot-button political topic, Ellsworth could easily become the symbol of female oppression, basking in his new role and drawing the ire of every woman on the roster as well as those in the WWE universe.

It would be a great way to squeeze even more life out of a character that was originally meant to be nothing more than a one-off squash jobber for Braun Strowman.
