The way Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon announced American Alpha were to be drafted to SmackDown made the out to be a very big deal. The way they have been booked has not.
Granted it seemed as if Gable and Jordan might have been getting the push they deserved before Gable's kayfabe knee injury kept them out of the title match at Backlash. However, since then the creative team seem to have just forgotten about them, proven by the fact that they found themselves fighting on the pre-show at No Mercy.
Slater and Rhyno don't seem like the type of team that WWE would like as the face of the SmackDown tag team division. Therefore, unless they are intending on putting the titles on The Usos, they will need to start building up American Alpha soon. Having them win as the sole survivors could be the best way to go about it.
